| "My first encounter with the Burren was in the early 70’s with my friend & photographer Shay Lattimore, who introduced me to one of the wonders of the world. At this time I was just finished Art College in Limerick and spent a lot of time painting the landscape in Co. Clare, I was amazed and enlightened when I sat for the first time at my easel on the Burren Landscape, and since then each year I spend time in Ballyvaughan and discovering parts of the Burren which gets better and better each time, nothing to do with the pints in Greens! There is a Magic in the air and time stands still when you sit on a rock and sketch the vast landscape. I hope this exhibition gives an insight to my thoughts and moods as the sky and land changes with each brush stroke."
